What is Combined Forklift Training?
Our Combined Forklift Training program at Clockwork Safety & Equipment Training is designed for operators who need certification across multiple forklift classes, including Class 1, 4, 5, and 7. These categories cover electric rider forklifts, internal combustion forklifts with cushion or pneumatic tires, and rough terrain forklifts. By combining these classes into one program, workers gain the flexibility and certification needed to safely operate different types of lift trucks in a variety of environments.
Course Content
The Forklift Operator Course includes both theory and practical components. Participants will learn how to conduct pre-operation inspections, follow safe start-up and shut-down procedures, and recognize load capacity limits. Instruction also covers proper lifting techniques, stability awareness, and hazard recognition. Special emphasis is placed on safe load handling, maneuvering in tight spaces, and operating forklifts on uneven terrain. Practical training allows participants to demonstrate skills using the equipment covered in their selected classes. By blending classroom learning with hands-on practice, our Forklift Certification program ensures operators gain real-world skills they can apply immediately.
Why Combined Forklift Certification Matters
Operating a forklift requires both technical skill and a clear understanding of safety protocols. Many workplaces use different forklift types depending on the task, making combined certification valuable for employers and workers alike. Our Lift Truck Training focuses on knowledge retention, safe operating habits, and regulatory compliance with WorkSafeBC. Employers benefit from a more versatile workforce, while participants leave with credentials that open doors to new opportunities.
